DAQmx.rc Error

Hello,

today I installed LabView in order to open some files I received from a friend; this is my first time using LabView.

Everytime I try to open one of the VI files, it takes a bit of time to look through the LabView folder in my HDD and then the pop-up error "Driver or toolkit component missing daqmx.rc" appears.

I tried to look around for a solution of this problem: I installed the driver using the NI package manager, I assured that in the "Software" menu in NI MAX the "NI-DAQmx Device Driver" was present (as suggested here), but still I could not open these files without that pop-up error.

My thought is that this could be a problem of directory: I have both an SSD (with my OS) and an HDD. I extracted all of the files of the downloaded installer into an HDD folder but I still noticed that some folders were created in the SSD "Programs" folder .

Moreover, during the installation I came through a pop-up "you must install the appropriate device drivers labview..." which did not allow me to proceed since it said that my HDD LabView folder was not an appropriate folder for driver support, so I had to choose "decline support" if I remember correctly.

How can I solve this? My SSD is pretty filled up so I really would like to store everything in the HDD memory.

Thanks in advance.
