Hi All, Is anyone help me for How to load the Config file into DataMan 362. I am using DataMan 362Q, 8 numbers in my Project. I developed my application using Lab-view 2017. Using Cognex Action Command (||>Trigger on) i can able to scan the 2D code via TCP/IP. But i have many different types of bar codes, So need to Load different Config file for Different models. cannot realize Producer / Consumer Build
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
i need a tiny bit of your help. I'm from Germany and am not very experienced in english language. So i hope you are able to understand me.
In my bachelor semester i want to establish a new FMCW microwave module on a existing device to measure defects/cracks in M(aterial)UTs (like DUTs only with material ^^ ). The Module produces differenial IQ Signals, Ip In Qp Qn. In my first tasks it will be DC Voltages + Noise. I need to track them continiously, substract them, and plot them (Ip-In) on real (x axis) and (Qp-Qn) on imaginary (y axis).
SInce weeks i'm trying to wobble around, play with labview, read forums, tutorials, examples, helps, etc to get what i want.
There are multiple barriers on my way (for me). I'm not able to handle type conversion in a right way especially when array are included. I want to measure Data continiously, save some Snippets (e.q. 5 s data sampling) in a file (spreadsheet) and so on.
While practicing on examples like roll the dice and save, plot whatever in a file, on a graph i can make it. But if i want to adapt it on data, my tasks i fail so far.
However:
In this following try, i've read a Producer/Consumer thing to seperate continious logging and further handlings.

I wanted to rebuild it in my labview and only got broken wires if i wanted to wire from DAWmx-Read.

Remote multiples front panel from one application
Hi to all,
I have multiple applications in the same intranet.
Now, I would like to develop One different application where I will be able to control all of those application (in the same intranet ass well)
I think about develop and application where when user press a butten of which line they want to controll, then inserting a browser in front panel and open it.
Can it be possible? any more ideas?

RT FIFO used on a non-RT environment?!
Hello everybody, I recently was assigned to porting/enhancing a project for Windows + cRIO/RT.
The Windows part of the code surprised me quite a bit when I noticed it was using RT FIFOs... but I was under the impression those would only work on an RT target, definitely not under Windows (I'm using a virtualized Windows 7 Enterprise environment + a cRIO 9066)
Tried to search this board and many other places but I can't seem to be able to find any documentation about this very specific case.
If I had to make an educated guess I would imagine that in a non-RT environment a call to an RT FIFO function simply gets re-routed to a standard Queue function... but it would be nice to have a confirmation on this (likely non standard/non supported?) use case.

Control Design and Simulation Module - installation problems
Dear Everybody,
I am using Labview 2016 with Student License, my installed modules are Vision Acquisiton Software 17.1 and Vision Development Module 2016, running on Windows 7 SP1 (x64).
Yesterday I have tried to install Control Design and Simulation Module 2016, but the installer said 'Installation Summary - No software will be installed or removed' and the 'Next' button is grayed out. Regarding to the License Manager, I have a valid license. While using Labview I can use the Control & Simulation tools (PID, Simulation, Fuzzy Logic, Control Design).
I have to make a modbus simulation for an university project.
My problems:
1) There is no match among the Labview examples for modbus simulator (also can not join to the NI server for more example programs).
2) I can not add an I/O to my computer in a blank project.
As my teacher said I need Control and Simulation Module for modbus simulation I think there is something wrong with the installation process.
How can I list out all of the installed Labview modules?
Sorry if I miss something basic.
Any help would be greeted.

correct scan list for PXI-2503 multiplexer
I'm using PXI-4071 DMM and PXI-2503 multiplexer to scan 10 resistors (1000-4000 Ohm) in 4-wire mode. DMM and the multiplexer are connected by standard cable (4 bananas to Analog Bus Connector on TB-2605). In Test Panels of MAX I can measure all resistors correctly by connecting com0 to ab0 and by switching channels 0 - 9 to com0, but I cannot write a correct scan list for a VI that would allow me to get correct measurements. I tryed com0->ab0 && ch0:9->com0 which should work accourding to my understanding of the manual, but it doesn't work. Can anyone advise me the correct scan list?
By the way I also have wires connected to com0 terminals in TB-2605 block and when I connect these wires to DMM instead of a standard connector VI works with the following scan list ch0:9->com0.

NI-DCPower package, sample rate
Hi,
We use NI-DCPower package to communicate with PXIe-4144, PXIe-4138, etc. Surprisingly I cannot fund how the sample acquisition rate can be set with this package.
The answer is probably too simple to bee found easily

How to Implement the Cascaded Menu of LabVIEW Attribute Node and Call Node
Excuse me, how to realize cascading calls of class attributes and methods? A list of properties and methods similar to controls? The cascade menu of the system's own attribute nodes is shown in the following figure:
When accessing the attributes of a custom class, there is no cascade menu. How to achieve this?

YOKOGAWA WT3000 Store Instruction
The period of store hsas be set to 1s.It means that the datas of U,P and I are recorded to memory(or register?) once a second.Because I don't know where they are stored ,I try to read the display data by delay 1s.After datas are read, they will be sent to an Excel file to calucate.Then the next second,datas will be read and sent to file.I can't make sure that the datas I read are the results per second.
If you used to try it and successed or know how to read the store datas from the memory(register?) of WT3000,could you give me some advice?

Handling UI while running a "program"
My LabVIEW program, which controls a special-purpose scientific machine, involves a central "interpreter" which runs a script controlling the operation of the machine. Most of the user interface involves configuration and testing of the machine, and then the running of a script. While the script is running, most of the user interface should be locked, but a few elements need to remain active because the user is able to pause, abort, modify, and monitor the execution in certain ways while it is in progress.
This doesn't flow automatically well with the While loop / Event structure model, because once the user clicks the button to run the script, the Event structure is busy running that subroutine, and is unavailable to handle other user actions. Please recommend: what are best practices for dealing with this situation? Write a subsidiary While / Event loop that is only allowed to run when the primary one is busy running a script?

Control the Timing of Table update
I write a vi program to reed data from serial port and update a Table every 2 minute. whole program work successfully only need to know how to control the timing of table update without effecting the timing of main loop. when i use wait time function it slow the timing of whole loop.

Open file in LVOO
Hi all,
I'm moving the first steps into LVOO. and I try to do a "wrap" of FILE I/O VI in LVOO.
To do that :
- I've done a LVOO class
- Into the class I've created 2 methods : open and write. The first one include open\create the second only the write VI
- in the private class data cluster I put the file reference of the opened file.
- to obtain the right ref , I've drag&drop the indicator from the output of "open VI" fuction to the cluster
- the ref nume is the reference for the write methods
- when I perform the test...error :
" Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: (Hex 0x1) An input parameter is invalid. For example if the input is a path, the path might contain a
character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @."
Any suggestion?
In attachment the projetc (LV2018) with the LV class and test.vi to perform the test, in any case I'am able to write into the file.
