Hi,

I would like to measure the temperature with 4 wire RTDs with the Agilent 34970A. I configured the EZ Temperature VI with 4 Wire RTD and RTD Type 1 (91). The Problem is, the only data I get are temperatures of 9900000. There is no error message. When I did the set up with thermocouples it worked just fine. When I did the measurements with thermocouples on one card and the RTDs on the second card, the values for the RTDs were the same as for the thermocouples, even if the thermocouples were in a waterbath of 80 °C and the RTDs were outside the bath. I tried to increase the byte count in VISA read (it helped when I had a similar problem with the thermocouples) but it didn't change anything.

At first I would like to calibrate the RTDs alone (to prevent interference with the thermocouples) and afterwards I need to combine the measurements.

Is there anyone who also had this problem and found a solution? I would be very glad if somebody could help me

Ok guys I'm fairly new to Labview

 

I created a fire alarm system which when the temperature reaches 40C it gives me a sound alarm.

 

How do I implement this into TCP/IP system where I can control the value of the temperature from the client side, and the temperature of the server side will rise? It is supposed to be a smart home but I have no idea how to do this. I have attached my fire alarm VI.

 

Help.

Hi there,

 

I am trying to pass a bunch of refences to through a cluster to a SubVI.

The idea here is to manipulate the Objects in the MainVI in the SubVI thorugh property nodes, which get the reference number from the cluster.

 

In the SubVI I use unbunling by name to acess the references I need. However, I get an error 1055 (invalid references) every time I try to access the object using the property node.

 

What am I doing wrong?

I have done a piece of refactoring lately that involved replacing a variant with an object.  Variants being wonderful like they are, any old interface VI which would take a variant input simply casts the object input to a variant.  Is there any way of searching in LabVIEW for this casting action?  I'd prefer not to have to find every module that took the variant/now should take an object, if possible.

Hello all!

 

I am acquiring two continuous data signals, one from a NI-9211 and the other from a USB-6002.  The NI-9211 is set for 3 samples to read at a 3 Hz rate.  The USB-6002 is set for 1000 samples to read at a 1 kHz rate with a 0-5 V signal input.  The reason the USB-6002 is set for such a high rate is that the voltage signal has a lot of variability in the mV range.

 

What I want to do is take an average of the data points from each signal at 1 second intervals.  The averaged data is then being used to calculate a third value.

 

Then I want to do the same thing, but at 2 minute intervals.  The two minute interval data will be saved to an Excel file.

 

The reason I want both 1 second and 2 minute intervals is that I want to view the data in real-time.  However, since my testing is about 24 hours in length and I am not expecting large changes, I want to save averaged values every 2 minutes.

 

The problem I am having is averaging the waveform data from the signals.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I need to load a NEF image into labview. NEF (Nikon Electronic Format) is Nikons own RAW image format.

Is there anybody who knows how to do it?

Hello, I am working on a school project (the NI Robotics Starter kit 2.0) and i designed a fuzzy logic controller to control the robot.  This robot uses a rio board for the processor on board, and all the files that are being flashed on to the memory are in the proj.vi that was created during the robotic setup wizard.  When i created the fuzzy controller i used the fuzzy controller setup from the tools and saved the .fs file.  my sub vi loads the .fs file and uses the fuzzy controller that was made.  When i flash this on the rio does it pull the .fs file onto it also because the load fuzzy file path is needed. do i need to adjust the path seeing as it path will be flashed on to the rio board or does it do all that for me.

Hello everyone

 

I have found several example of using the System Exec VI to execute a command from Labview. But is there a technique to run a executable within a window inside Labview that is also interactive with user input. 

 

I have a serial data logging program that is collecting data for me over a RS232 connection. The data log works great but I would like to run this somehow embedded inside labview. The datalogger appears to be a batch run that runs a Java file. I don't have too much control over the data logger as it was provided by the manufacturer. I thought about contacting the manufacturer to ask about the serial interface to see if I decode inside labview but really I just want to run and show the data logger inside my existing VI.

 

Any suggestions or tips on fix? When the data logger starts, the user needs to click on connect and start recording.

When running a matlab script, labview crashes. No labview error number appears. I have matlab 2013 on my Windows 7 computer and I am running labview 2013, as well. The error log file reports: ExceptionCode: 0xC0000005.

 

I have attached a copy of my labview code. However, even when I replace approx_entropy with mean, I still get the same error, which suggests that it is not a problem with the matlab file, but with the labview call of matlab. When I disable the matlab script in my labview code, it works just fine.

hello,

i have a tab control which have 6 rows and 8 coloums of pages. if i select the 3rd row 5th page, that active page comes down to 6th row and does so for any active page its kind of confusing . instead how can i stop it from jumping down to bottom and just highlight or color the active page in its place.

Hi,

 

I need help with using external sensor to read current in LabVIEW. Are there any examples? What I did was, from the "Measure Mode Value" example, I connect Config Ext Sensor Scaling. I don't know if it's right or not.

Hello i want to know if its possible transfer data whit this radios.

Hey all, first text to the forums so here goes:

 

The issue I have deals with processing data from a number of strain gages.  My goal is to do the following:

 

   -  At the press of a button ("Push to Snapshot XY Points"), I need to collect a "snapshot" of the strain data that is continuously flowing out of the DAQ Assistant

 

   -  This strain data is currently being pulled from DDT and converted to a 2D array "Collected Data", which holds the current value of each channel in its own row.

 

   -  I want to take each individual channel of this information and pair its "collected data snapshot" value with the current Load Case (a double value I control), creating an (x,y) coordinate pair for each channel (all channels will be assigned the same "Load Case")

 

   -  I want to then Plot & Store these (x,y) pairs of data for each channel.  When I proceed to then change the "Load Case" and take another snapshot, I want to create a new set of coordinate pairs for each channel, corresponding to the new load case.  The overall goal is to enable the code to produce a XY Graph that looks like the one shown below.  I want this XY Graph to "build" to the right each time I take a new snapshot.

 

I currently have some code that takes the "Collected Data" Array, and moved it through a FOR loop setup with auto indexing enabled (I imagine I will need some sort of smart FOR loop to handle the variation in channel count).  From here I am having trouble organizing the data into the correct arrays/clusters such that I can store and plot it.  Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

計測器ドライバを検索しようとすると、件名のエラーメッセージがポップアップし、ok  ボタンを押すとLabviewのスタートページに戻ってしまいます。

ちょっと前まではちゃんと計測器を検索できたのですが、突然できなくなりました。

接続された計測器を確認したいのですが、それができなくなってしまいました。

当然、インターネット接続は確認しましたし、昨日からネット状態が変わってはいないようです。

 

どのようにしたら、元の通りになるかお教えください。

エラーメッセージの内容は下記の通りです。

 

「NI 計測器ドライバファインダ接続はInstrument Driver Networkに接続中に問題が生じました。インターネット接続を確認してから、再度ダウンロードしてください。それでも問題が解決されない場合は、ni.com/idnetから計測器ドライバーをダウンロードしてください。」

 

よろしくお願いします。

If I wire the reader url (computer A) input of the Writer Endpoint function in computer B, the Network Stream will run. Then how can I get the IP address of computer B in computer A.

Hi, 

 

This is my first time in using LabView and I want to control the E3631A power supply remotely using the instrument driver. I have downloaded the driver from this website http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=0475216F9FCA5335E0440003BA7CCD71.

 

Basically there are two different excel files for the two output channels (+6V and +25V). I am currently trying to use the two output channels to step through the voltage defined in excel files every second. I am able to extract the data from excel, but my problem now is that I am not sure on how to control the two channels simultaneously. Could anyone please help me solve this problem?
